Meet Dr. Alexandra Nash

Dr. Alexandra Nash, and known by her patients as Dr. Lexi, grew up in Southern Illinois and knew since high school that she wanted to be a dentist, work with children and serve her community.

Dr. Lexi attended McKendree University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduated with honors. During her undergraduate, Dr. Lexi worked as a dental assistant and volunteered at her local elementary school as a tutor and teacher’s aide.

Dr. Lexi went onto Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and graduated with honors as well as the American Student Dental Association Award, the Dean’s Student Research Fellowship Award, and the Special Care Dentistry Award. These awards recognized Dr. Lexi’s spirit of leadership and volunteerism, commitment to advancing the field of dentistry, and sincere interest and concern for the dental needs of persons with disabilities and special health care needs.

After dental school, Dr. Lexi completed two years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. During residency, Dr. Lexi was selected to serve as Chief Resident, gained robust experience in caring for children with complex medical histories and special health care needs and provided emergency care to children with dental trauma. Dr. Lexi was invited to stay on staff at Lurie Children’s Hospital as an attending where she provides patient care and teaches pediatric dental residents in a clinical setting.

Dr. Lexi loves getting to know her patients and making their appointments fun! She values excellent communication and genuine compassion while providing a patient-centered and comprehensive approach. Dr. Lexi considers herself a lifelong learner and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and American Dental Association.

When not in the office, Dr. Lexi enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Tyler, and their friends and family. Dr. Lexi also enjoys yoga, baking, and exploring Chicago’s diverse food scene.
